Marketing Director

Summary: Plans and directs marketing of organization's products and services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Education - Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or five to ten years related marketing experience; or equivalent combination of both.

Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and profit percentages. Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheet, PowerPoint presentations and Word processing software is a must along with experience in Outlook and with the Internet.

Powersports Experience - Must possess a passion for motorsports and be an enthusiast. Must own one or more of the following; motorcycle (on or offroad), snowmobile, ATV or UTV. Motorcycle endorsement a huge plus, but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishes strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services
  • Develops and executes comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of organization
  • Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity
  • Develops and manages marketing operating budget
  • Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail
  • Evaluates and recommends distribution channel development programs
  • Negotiates contract terms with outside agencies, magazines and electronic media
  • Serves as liaison with outside agencies on ongoing promotional campaigns
  • Oversees development and production of promotional and collateral materials
  • Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy, together with Design and Sales department, to produce the highest possible long-term market share
  • Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends
  • Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets
  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions
  • Monitors competitive products and marketing activities
  • Oversees development and maintenance of customer database
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners

FLY Racing Product Designer

FLY Racing is currently seeking a talented, motivated Product Designer with ambition to design power sports apparel and equipment.  The ideal candidate is knowledgeable and experienced with the design, development, and manufacturing processes. The candidate must be able to communicate design concepts both visually and verbally, and show a thorough understanding of Product/Fashion Design practices.

Backed by 55 years in the power sports industry, FLY Racing has become one of the fastest growing brands in the power sports industry and is dedicated to making high-quality, high-performance apparel and protective equipment.

Located in Boise, Idaho.

This is a full time position that will support the Product Design team in design and development for the Street and Snowmobile segments of FLY Racing.



  • 4-6 years industry experience or Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years industry experience
  • Strong portfolio showing examples of relevant project work
  • Portfolio samples must show creative thinking, innovative designs and product development process
  • Have an outstanding ability to communicate form through 2-D means
  • Show a comprehensive understanding of the design process, manufacturing process, and production process
  • Experience in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office. 3-D modeling would be a plus
  • Demonstrate a desire to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment with multiple disciplines


  • Interest in outdoor power sports (Motorcycles, Snowmobiling, ATV/UTV, BMX, Mtn Bike, and Watercraft).
  • Strong mechanical inclination
  • Strong fashion sense

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Trend, consumer, and competitive research
  • Work through all phases of the product development process – concepts through production
  • Concept development through sketching, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and prototyping
  • Ability to manage projects from concept to production
  • Participate in problem-solving exercises with the product design team and/or project teams
  • Present and modify designs with design team to achieve the desired end product
  • Work within specified deadlines and budgets
  • Work with vendors to develop garments and production requirements
