Graphic Designer

Type: Full-time

WPS is currently seeking a talented, motivated Graphic Designer with ambition to design a variety of creative projects. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic with the flexibility and focus to multi-task in a fast paced creative environment. He or she will be confident with design principles, problem solving, innovative typography, possesses clean layout skills, as well as good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Description:
This is a full time position that will support the marketing team in the research, concept development, design and execution of creative projects such as ads, brochures, corporate identity, packaging, presentations, promotional displays, signage, websites, etc. Applicants must demonstrate a strong attention to detail and understand design from a marketing perspective.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead designer in building all manner of advertising, and visual communications.
  • Participate in the development of creative advertising concepts and marketing campaigns.
  • Design packaging based on rules and conventions established in brand specific style guides.
  • Design and maintain website graphics for 9+ in-house brands.
  • Handle day-to-day “drop-in” design requests from brand and product managers (e.g., signage, POP displays, tradeshow booths, packaging, posters, etc.).
  • Solicit quotes and estimates for services needed to execute projects.
  • Research and purchase stock imagery as needed.
  • Photo masking, color correction and enhancement.
  • Prepare graphics for email blast.
  • Clip-out (Mask) images needed for web content use.
  • Build graphics for press or new product releases.
  • Build graphics for annual new line releases.
  • Resize existing advertisement to run in a number of publications with varying specifications.
  • Output and submit print ready files optimized to the specifications of each individual publication.

Competencies

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following skills:

  • Desire to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment with multiple disciplines.
  • Fluency in standard industry tools, to include but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of current design trends and effective visual communication.
  • Strong design, typography, layout and color skills.
  • A strong knowledge of packaging design.
  • Working understanding of print production.
  • Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines with a solid attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of collaboration with the ability to communicate clearly in problem-solving and concept development exercises with the marketing team and/or project teams.

Education and/or Experience                                                    

  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • B.A. with an emphasis upon art and design is a plus.
  • Powersports enthusiast is a plus.

HardDrive/V-Twin Outside Sales Representative - Central/Western Pennsylvania

WPS is seeking an industry-experienced Outside Sales Representative to join its V-Twin Sales Division to help grow and develop a territory in Central/Western Pennsylvania. This Outside Sales Rep sells v-twin motorcycle hard parts and apparel to territory dealerships while promoting the HardDrive brand and company objectives. Candidates should possess the ability to effectively and persuasively communicate with a wide variety of personalities, while performing in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment. Highly qualified individuals will have 2+ years of experience in the V-Twin / Harley Davidson industry, coupled with 3+ years of demonstrated sales performance. PHP Web Developer

Are you a relentless problem solver who is not afraid to search for a needle in a stack of hay? An ardent learner who's always looking to improve? Do you play nice with both humans and machines? If so, WPS needs you.

Seeking a full-time, PHP web developer with a technical background and a passion for writing high-quality, extensible code. We are looking for mid-level to senior-level candidates with experience in building web applications with PHP and who aren’t afraid to learn something new along the way.

Most of our projects reside on a fleet of cloud-based, load-balanced, autoscaling Linux server instances on AWS. We are currently doing work in Drupal and Laravel, so be prepared to dive into those if you haven’t already. The primary languages that we develop in are PHP, HTML5, and JavaScript but we do not necessarily limit ourselves to that area.

Location

On-site at WPS headquarters at 601 E. Gowen Road in Boise, Idaho. No remote/telecommute.
