Inside Sales Representative

Location: Corporate Headquarters in Boise, Idaho
Status: Salary, Exempt

WPS is seeking an ambitious, sales-driven Motorcycle/ATV-UTV enthusiast to join our growing Sales Department. As a representative and member the Inside Sales Team You will maintain current business, as well as identify and secure new business, to effectively sell power sports products to dealerships while promoting WPS house-brands and company objectives. Candidates should possess the ability to effectively and persuasively communicate with a wide variety of personalities working in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment. Highly qualified individuals will have 3 years of inside sales experience coupled with 1 or more years of industry/dealer-related experience. If you’re a self-starter who enjoys working independently, have strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills, and excel at finding solutions to varying customer solutions, this is the opportunity you’re looking for!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, dealer resellers, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other industry sources
  • Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail
  • Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales
  • Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers on a daily basis
  • Provides up-to-date product information to customers via company catalogs and website
  • Emphasizes salable features, calculates profit margin opportunities, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares orders for sales obtained
  • Implements and executes company selling system on a daily basis to assigned customer base
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer by following up with appropriate department resources
  • Attend and participate in department business meetings, training and trade shows to acquire product knowledge and expertise
  • Builds and maintains customer relationships by providing World Class customer service
  • Investigates and resolves dealer problems with deliveries, invoices and general accounting
  • Travels to and attends trade shows and/or WPS sales meetings

Competencies

  • Minimum 1-2 years sales experience in sales or telemarketing with powersports industry experience preferred but not required. for the Motorcycle/UTV-ATV Industry is required, 3-4 years of experience is preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills, with a strong sense of accountability and follow through
  • Familiarity with an AS400 Order Processing system/ or VAI order processing is preferred
  • Full knowledge of the MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and the Internet is required
  • Ability to build strong working relationships dealers and their customer base
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, proportions, discounts, etc.

Outside Sales Representative - Western Texas

WPS is seeking an experienced Outside Sales & Marketing Representative to establish and develop a new territory. The Western Texas Outside Sales Representative sells power sports parts and apparel to territory dealerships while promoting WPS house-brands and company objectives. Candidates should possess the ability to effectively and persuasively communicate with a wide variety of personalities, working in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment. Highly qualified individuals will have three plus years of experience in the powersports industry as an outside sales representative. If you’re a self-starter who enjoys working independently, have strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills, and excel at finding solutions to varying customer challenges, this is an exciting opportunity to enhance your career!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responds quickly to dealer needs and requests, involving resources as necessary, to deliver solutions and produce sales
  • Develops and maintains an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and responds accordingly
  • Introduces and demonstrates new products, using sales samples, WPS catalogs and web resources to emphasize features and benefits
  • Effectively communicates the value of a WPS business partnership, including available brands, products, eCommerce options and exceptional dealer support staff
  • Assists dealerships in sales-floor layout and point of purchase displays to encourage growth of WPS brands and products

Assistant Sales Manager – Sedona and Shinko Tire Brands

Location: Corporate Headquarters in Boise, Idaho
Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

WPS is seeking an ambitious, sales-driven Motorcycle/ATV-UTV enthusiast to join our growing Sales Team. As the Assistant Sales Manager for Sedona/Shinko Tire Brands, you will collaborate with and provide assistance to the Shinko and Sedona Brand Managers to help grow sales and market share, maintain the brand infrastructure and help with all levels of service. Teaming with WPS Outside Sales Reps, you will provide support, supply ongoing education on the product lines, and be a contributing part of these growing in-house brands. Well-qualified candidates will have 3 to 4 years of sales experience, preferably motorcycle industry/dealer-related, coupled with a demonstrated ability to sell and the desire to win! This position requires extensive travel (up to 50%). If you enjoy working in a team environment and have a strong work ethic, this is a great opportunity to grow your career. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel with sales team throughout the continental USA
  • Represent Brand at Regional and National trade shows and open houses to promote and sell Shinko/Sedona by constructing and setting up booths, presenting product and displays, and supporting dealers to drive sales
  • Assists sales team and their dealers by providing information and ongoing product education; answering questions, completing special orders; and obtaining feedback for continued brand development
  • Prepares sales reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information using Excel
  • Demonstrates proven sales techniques to WPS reps and customers to emphasize value and increase sales

Senior Product Designer

Location: Boise, Idaho - Local candidates only.
Annual Salary: DOE

WPS is currently seeking a senior level product designer. Brand segments include the design and development of motorcycle (street), snowmobile, and cruiser garments and protective gear. Candidates should have strong design portfolios with graphic design abilities. Candidate should be proficient in the product development process. Well qualified individuals will have industry experience with soft goods design in the motorsports industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Able to work through all phases of the product development process – concepts through production
  • Provide high-quality execution of product designs, graphics, and product language directions
  • Produce dynamic trend directions with colors, materials, features, and graphics
  • Create detailed tech packs for vendors that provide all needed information for production
  • Work with vendors and developers through the development and production process while maintaining timelines and budgets
  • Overseas travel as needed

Competencies

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • BA/BS/BFA in Industrial, Product, Graphic, or Illustration design
  • 5 years professional industry experience
  • Portfolio samples must show creative thinking, innovative designs and product development process
  • Have an outstanding ability to communicate form through 2-D means
  • Show a comprehensive understanding of the design, manufacturing, and production processes
  • Experience in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office. 3-D modeling would be a plus

PHP Web Developer

Are you a relentless problem solver who is not afraid to search for a needle in a stack of hay? An ardent learner who's always looking to improve? Do you play nice with both humans and machines? If so, WPS needs you.

Seeking a PHP web developer with a technical background and a passion for writing high-quality, extensible code. We are looking for junior-level to mid-level candidates with experience in building web applications with PHP and who aren’t afraid to learn something new along the way.

Most of our projects reside on a fleet of cloud-based, load-balanced, autoscaling Linux server instances on AWS. We are currently doing work in Drupal and Laravel, so be prepared to dive into those if you haven’t already. The primary languages that we develop in are PHP, HTML5, and JavaScript but we do not necessarily limit ourselves to that area.

Competencies

  • Self-starting learner with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Medial understanding of PHP, application architecture and object-oriented design.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction while maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux environments and open source tools/platforms.
  • A solid foundation of semantic HTML and CSS and at the very least minimal experience working with JavaScript and related libraries.
  • Knowledge of cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility.
  • Experience building applications that use REST based web services and JSON data structures.
  • Experience with version control systems (particularly Git)
  • Comfortable learning and embracing new languages quickly; ability to help us assess where new technologies, languages, and platforms may be things we should consider.

  • CMS experience, PHP framework experience, Laravel 5, Drupal 7, Magento CE, Zend Framework.
  • Server (EC2) administration on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • MySQL, DB2, and/or other database knowledge.
  • Mobile Development (Web-based HTML5 mobile responsive design)
  • Providing URLs of sites you’ve developed.
  • Providing your GitHub username so we can view some of your projects/code.
