HardDrive Tech/Product Specialist--Boise, ID

WPS is seeking a knowledgeable, detail-oriented, motorcycle enthusiast to join our HardDrive team. HardDrive is WPS’s V-twin division. As the HardDrive Tech and Product Specialist, you will be the primary contact for technical calls for the HardDrive brand for dealers and our sales representatives. You will evaluate and test new products and provide insightful analysis.  You will also play an important role in assuring the HardDrive catalog and website information is accurate. You’ll attend industry trade shows and retail shows – all to promote growth, raise brand-recognition and increase dealer knowledge of the HardDrive brand. Well-qualified candidates will have three to four years of motorcycle industry related experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primary contact for HardDrive technical calls.
  • Assists with the evaluation and analysis of new product submittals and test fittings.
  • Instrumental for catalog production and fitment updates throughout the year
  • Assists in creation of website updates.
  • Builds and maintains HardDrive demo and show bikes.
  • Must be able to travel to trade and retail shows, weekends included up to 6 times per year.​

HardDrive/V-Twin Outside Sales Rep.

Status: Statutory Employee, Exempt, Base + Commission

Territory:  United States

WPS is seeking an industry-experienced Outside Sales Representative to join its V-Twin Sales Division to help grow and develop a territory. This Outside Sales Rep sells V-twin motorcycle hard parts and apparel to territory dealerships while promoting the HardDrive brand and company objectives. Candidates should possess the ability to effectively and persuasively communicate with a wide variety of personalities, while performing in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment. Highly qualified individuals will have 2+ years of experience in the V-Twin / Harley Davidson industry, coupled with 3+ years of demonstrated sales performance. IT Support Desk Technician, 1--Boise, Idaho

Hourly, Non-Exempt:  DOE

Western Power Sports is seeking an entry level IT Support Desk Technician with an eagerness to learn, to join its fast-paced and expanding community. This position's role is to support and maintain in-house and off-site location computer systems and desktops. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware, software and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. This role also troubleshoots problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provides end user training and assistance when requested. An ideal candidate will have excellent communication and people skills, strong analytical skills, and the ability to support a wide range of personalities at varied staff levels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries or issues and respond either in person, email or over the phone
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems
  • Ask questions to determine nature of problem
  • Walk users through problem-solving process
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
  • Run diagnostic programs or reports to resolve problems and determine malfunctions continuing to occur
  • Follow up with employees to ensure issue has been resolved
  • Gain feedback from employees about computer usage
  • Perform AS/400 and Active Directory administration, including creation of user profiles and/or password resets
  • Utilize the help desk ticketing system for reactive user issues while logging user resolutions
  • Walk users through spam filter sign in and  quarantine queue whitelisting/blacklisting within the user’s email addresses
  • Utilize internal websites for diagnosing of shipping and ordering processes
  • Work with vendors and their websites to purchase standard computer equipment

 

Competencies

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with desktop platforms including Windows 7/XP/2000
  • Ability to understand, diagnose, and resolve issues with a large range of applications including but not limited to web browsers, word processing, spreadsheets, viruses, spyware, and virtual office communications.
  • Exceptional written and oral skills, as well as the ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly terms to effectively communicate issues and resolutions and create documentation for user reference.
  • Ability and desire to acquire new skills and knowledge quickly. Ability to think and work independently.
  • Must be self-guided individual, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Must have high integrity and a strong work ethic.
  • General knowledge of supply chain processes (ordering, packing, shipping) and Technical Support experience a plus

PHP Web Developer

Are you a relentless problem solver who is not afraid to search for a needle in a stack of hay? An ardent learner who's always looking to improve? Do you play nice with both humans and machines? If so, WPS needs you.

Seeking a full-time, PHP web developer with a technical background and a passion for writing high-quality, extensible code. We are looking for mid-level to senior-level candidates with experience in building web applications with PHP and who aren’t afraid to learn something new along the way.

Most of our projects reside on a fleet of cloud-based, load-balanced, autoscaling Linux server instances on AWS. We are currently doing work in Drupal and Laravel, so be prepared to dive into those if you haven’t already. The primary languages that we develop in are PHP, HTML5, and JavaScript but we do not necessarily limit ourselves to that area.

Location

On-site at WPS headquarters at 601 E. Gowen Road in Boise, Idaho. No remote/telecommute.
